We’ve talked about BPA and the devastating effects it has on our planet and health. There is definitely more work being done and people are becoming more aware. There are also more readily available alternatives to plastic at more affordable prices. One is not perceived as a tree huger anymore when carrying a water canteen; they make them so fashionable now.
But with headlines like this: “High levels of workplace exposure to BPA may increase the risk of reduced sexual function in men”, you can be sure that there are a million more men interested in BPA and maybe more things will get done. Never mind that BPA affects the female reproductive system and may cause heart disease in women, when the libido is affected - watch out! Mark my words…we’ll be seeing all kinds of research, grants and gadgets to ‘eliminate’ BPA.
So ladies, don’t be surprised if your mate suggests buying a set of glass containers and wants to stop buying bottled water. I really don’t care what triggers developments and progress, as long as something gets done. But why do so many people have to be affected before doing something on a large scale? I have several similar issues that come to mind and I am sure you do too. So what to do? Like I always say…the closer food and other products are to their natural state, the better it is for our health and our planet.
What’s on your mind?
