I’m almost 100% sure that all women don’t want to gain weight…consciously or unconsciously, whether they admit it or not. From personal and professional experience I can give you the number one tip on how prevent weight gain, or stay within a certain weight range: weight yourself regularly once or twice a week, no exception.
We know when we gain weight, and somehow we would like to believe that if we don’t see the number go up, it’s not happening. It’s like not reading about famine and abuse in the world. We know it’s going on, but if we don’t watch the news we don’t have to acknowledge it or feel guilty for not doing anything about it. Same thing with the pounds adding up; we know, we can feel them trying to squeeze into our clothes. So, we just wear the loose clothes for a while, and promise that Monday we’ll start paying more attention to what we eat and maybe start exercising again. NOT! It’s also funny when we make plans for next week. We may actually add a few more pounds before we start, just because we’re worried that we’ll miss our favorite foods.
Whatever the reason is, it doesn’t matter. The simple act of stepping on the scale twice a week will help keep us within our pre-established acceptable weight range. If we see that we’re getting “way” too close to the maximum number, we can be more careful about our food choices “now” or include a little more exercise to bring us back within the acceptable range.
It’s a very simple step. It only takes a minute but can reduce your stress level tremendously and ultimately will help you avoid going on a crash diet for a week or two to get the extra pounds off. Otherwise, you’re only fooling yourself. So just establish an acceptable weight range and make sure not to go over that maximum number.

I am a daily weigher but I do understand other people that find the scale hinders them.
I like both "how the clothes fit" & the scale.. especially as I age!!
