Beef Recall Expanded
JBS-Swift Beef Co, a Colorado based meat manufacturer, is expanding a voluntary recall to include an additional 380,000 pounds of assorted beef products due to possible contamination with E. Coli. This announcement came after investigations found 18 illnesses may be linked to consumption of their meat. According to JBS-Swift, the recalled products were produced on April 21, 2009 and have been distributed both nationally and internationally.

As always, we urge you to continue using safe food handling practices including proper washing, storage and cooking. Read our blog on Safe Produce or check out Fightbac.org for more information on safe food handling.
